Art 18 – Right to limit the processing
1. The interested party has the right to obtain the treatment limitation from the data controller when one of the following hypotheses occurs:

  • the interested party disputes the accuracy of the personal data, for the period necessary to the owner of the

  • the processing is unlawful and the data subject opposes the deletion of personal data and asks instead that its use is limited;

If processing is limited pursuant to paragraph 1, such personal data shall be processed, except for storage, only with the consent of the interested party or for the assessment, the exercise or the defense of a right in court or to protect the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of significant public interest in the Union or a Member State.
